Honours Program

Indigenous Studies Honours 2021

Are you passionate about Indigenous Studies? The Honours program is your opportunity to generate new knowledge and understanding, and to design, develop, and complete a significant research project.

Nura Gili offers an Honours program in Australian Indigenous Studies.

An Honours degree in Indigenous Studies involves intensive study of the discipline during a fourth year of study. It is an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in an area of interest and to develop a wide range of skills that can be applied in both academic and professional contexts.

The Honours year is a stand-alone program which consists of both coursework and a substantial research thesis of 20,000 words in length. It may also be a pathway into a graduate research degree (MA Research or PhD).

You may be eligible to enrol in the Honours program if you have completed a Major or Minor in Indigenous Studies, or a related discipline, with a WAM of 70 or above.

For more information, consult the Handbook for Indigenous Studies Honours.

Honours Information Session will be held via a Zoom session – Thursday 24 September 2020, at 4.00pm. Please register your attendance via email to m.pianka@unsw.edu.au
