April Long, Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Law, Graduate 2012

April is a Gumbangirr and Darkinjung woman from the NSW Central and Mid North Coasts.  She is a lawyer having graduated with a combined Arts/Law degree from UNSW Australia in 2012.  In the same year, April was awarded the inaugural Attorney Generals Law Student of the Year in recognition of her excellent grades, community participation and involvement in legal reform.

April’s entrepreneurial drive, passion and commitment to teaching and learning has seen her work with young Indigenous Australians, corporates, university students, academics and the general public. April is currently working as Program Manager for National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (NCIE).
