UNSW-Nura Gili Indigenous Programs - Applying to study at UNSW

HOME : FUTURE INDIGENOUS STUDENTS : INDIGENOUS ADMISSIONS SCHEME

The Indigenous Admission Scheme provides access for Indigenous people into all of the University of New South Wales undergraduate degree programs (excluding Law, Medicine, Business and Social Work - see information on Pre-Programs if you are interested in these areas). This means that if you haven’t got the required ATAR or State/Territory equivalent for the course you wish to study, or you are returning to study after a long while doing other things, we can assess and support your application to study through your other relevant experience.

2009 Applications now open

The process is carried out in five main steps:

YOU MUST lodge your expression of interest by completing an application form.
YOU MUST then lodge an application with the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) indicating your choice of UNSW course/s within your preferences.
YOU MUST supply certified confirmation of Aboriginality.
Nura Gili will invite you to attend an interview with Nura Gili and a faculty staff member at the Nura Gili Student Centre (47 Botany St Randwick NSW).
Nura Gili will invite you, if you are successful, to take a place at UNSW. If unsuccessful at any point in this process, you are encouraged to talk with faculty and staff at Nura Gili about future applications to UNSW.

**Students wishing to undertake Performing Arts programs must also complete an audition.
